Nadeau NCAA Bound?

It would appear highly touted scoring forward Josh Nadeau and his family have made a the decision to go the NCAA route.

Nadeau was a noticeable omission on the Acadie Bathurst Titan 34 man training camp roster which was an announced Monday afternoon.

The seventeen year old scoring and play making wizard from St Francois-de-Madawaska, New Brunswick will suit up for the Edmundston Blizzard of the Maritime Hockey League this season and for the foreseeable future until a formal commitment is announced.

Nadeau plays a very similar style to that of Arizona Coyotes winger and former Moncton Wildcat standout Conor Garland.

Nadeau’s creativity and elusiveness is truly remarkable.

There’s no question Nadeau would have probably been penciled in as a top six forward on a Acadie Bathurst team which could have desperately used his talents for years to come.

If you have never seen this young man play the game, you better mark it on your calendar when the Blizzard swing by the closest MHL city, because this kid is worth the price of admission.

Every time the soft spoken shy kid laces them up he does things with the puck that will leave you in awe and shaking your head.

Nadeau is one of the best players I have ever seen play the game at his age and he’s only getting better.

The diminutive forward’s hockey IQ is truly off the charts.

Josh Nadeau is an exceptional talent and will no doubt be one of the top players in the MHL this season at only seventeen.

Obviously this is a massive loss for the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, but at the end of the day it’s a win win situation for Nadeau and his family.

Nadeau will be playing close to home, he will get a lot of exposure in the MHL especially now that he has made his intentions public and it will give the diminutive forward more time to get stronger and mature physically.

Nadeau will be a highly sought out commodity and will no doubt have tons of NCAA schools seeking his services.

As early as next season, Josh Nadeau will be one of the premiere players in the MHL and by twenty one could assume he could be vying for a National Jr A player of the year honours and top scorer across the nation.

That’s how good this kid really is.

Simply put Josh Nadeau is a game changer.

It shouldn’t matter what route young aspiring players from this region take, at the end of the day it’s the player, and their families decision.

We all need to respect their decision.

Keep your opinions to yourself when criticizing the player and their families decisions, but first and foremost respect Josh Nadeau’s talent and whatever you do, do yourself a favour and go see this kid play, because you will never forget it.
