The “Real” Experience

With QMJHL Training Camps opening today many players and their families will now enjoy the “real experience” of Major Junior hockey.

One can only imagine just how difficult quarantine was for these young athletes, but that was the just another sacrifice in a long line of sacrifices these kids have made throughout their journey in the game.

There are still some players in different stages of quarantine and with import players still waiting to be granted access to the country it might take a little while longer for everything to return to normal for each organization.

Nevertheless, some players are finally getting to experience what life is like at the Major Junior level.

These young players are finally meeting their second families, their new homes and are finally being able to show what they can do on the ice.

Quarantine had to be agonizing, it had to be lonely, but it was necessary. It’s clear these young players are more than ready to live out their dream and prove they belong in the QMJHL.

The “real experience” has finally arrived.

It’s time for them to play to their identity.

It’s time for them to trust their ability, embrace the grind and take full advantage of the opportunity that’s in front of them.

It’s time for the real experience of Major Junior hockey.

It’s time for them to bring all the intangibles, it’s time for them to leave everything on the ice.

It’s time for them to control what they can control and leave it all on the line.

Everything is for real now.
