Week 2 got us more of a feel for what teams were good at, who was rebuilding, and who should be a contender. So the power rankings should be much more accurate as the season goes on. These will definitely not be easy to do as so many teams have the potential to make deep playoff runs. Division 2 seems to have the most teams that could end up fighting for the championship as the results have been so close and full of surprises. The top division still seems to belong to the Tantramar Titans. The Moncton High purple Knights were rumoured to be the team that was supposed to give them the most trouble, but the Titans were able to beat the Knights pretty convincingly. I do however think, and this is my personal opinion, that the Saint John High Greyhounds are much better than people were initially giving them credit for. They were able to get a big win last week over a strong Riverview Royals team on the road, and both teams seemed very strong on both sides of the ball. I think we will see the Titans get challenged more this season, but do I think that they will get beat? I can’t confidently say that just yet. Here are the power rankings after Week 2.
