FDS Local: NB High School Football – Week 6 predictions

Folks this week I potentially make a fool of myself by calling 2 of these games as part of our FDS Local Sports update

– Editor AJ

Another week of football and another week of surprising results in the New Brunswick high school league. In last week’s prediction article, we saw the analysts take the safe route as they mostly all had the same predictions that were more accurate than not. We are now getting to some tougher match-ups on the schedule and this football season is about to get even more interesting. The 12-man division has been relatively quiet with Tantramar sitting on top, and not getting much from resistance from their opponents. They currently have scored a total of 223 points and have only conceded a total of 8 points on the year. They enjoy a bye week this week before closing out the season against the Leo Hayes Lions of Fredericton.

The-10 man division this weekend saw the St. Stephen Spartans remain undefeated with a 56-0 victory over the Harbour View Vikings. The Spartans have scored a total of 223 points and have only conceded 23 on the season. Harrison Trimble made their move by beating the undefeated Bernice McNaughton Highlanders after a disappointing loss the previous week and are looking to stir things up in the playoffs. The Ecole Sainte-Anne Castors of Fredericton won their first Acadie Bowl this weekend by beating the Mathieu-Martin Matadors (#CastorsNation – Wray and Andy). The Castors are a team to watch in the playoffs this season and seem to be tightening up their defence as well. It will be interesting to see how all of the 10-man division teams close out their season as predicting this division has really become a difficult task. The only safe thing to predict as of now is that there will be an upset this weekend, or multiple. Here is our week 6 predictions!
