If you had a championship caliber team, who would you target? What player or players would you identify to put your team over the top?
There’s no question countless contending teams will be after impact players in the upcoming weeks. One player that will be very coveted is none other than St Louis Blues Prospect, Chicoutimi Sagueneens star defenceman Marc-Andre Gaudet.

Gaudet’s versatility and ability to play any role on the backend could put any team with championship aspirations over the top.
Gaudet’s time with the Sags, has been very important for the development of their young core group. The St Ignace, New Brunswick product has put up solid numbers, but it’s the intangibles he brings to the game that matters the most.
Marc-Andre Gaudet epitomizes the word leader, the quiet soft spoken two-way defender leads by example and does all his talking on the ice.
You see that’s another reason why Gaudet would be a monumental addition to any defensive corps. There’s zero entitlement or cockiness when it comes to his style of game. Gaudet is a throw back player, he loves the game and all the subtle nuances of the position.
He’s the exact some player night in, night out no matter what role he’s given. He can play both sides of the ice with relative ease. His consistency and compete level is off the charts. Under his calm cool demeanour lives an ultra competitive nasty tough to play against defender that will do just about anything to ensure his team has success.
Marc-Andre Gaudet will no doubt be a player on the move as soon as the QMJHL trade period opens. At this point it’s difficult to exactly determine where he will land, but there’s a sense he will probably remain in Quebec and will be patrolling the blueline for either the Sherbrooke Phoenix or Quebec Remparts
