Elliot Desnoyers To the Sea Dogs?
First it was Gatineau, now it’s Saint John. Halifax Mooseheads captain and Philadelphia Flyers Prospect Elliot Desnoyers is no question the hottest commodity on the market in final few days of 2022 QMJHL trade period.

Desnoyers’ versatility is a must for any team with championship aspirations. The addition of Desnoyers to the Sea Dogs line up gives them even more depth through the middle, but it would also give them a much needed injection of character and veteran presence. Desnoyers is a throw back, low maintenance character player who cares about one thing, winning.
He plays the game the right way every time out and doesn’t cheat the game to get points. The four year veteran of the Q, knows if he plays the game the right way in all three zones the points will come.
As I’ve written before, one source to me any trade involving the Flyers prospect would include four pieces.
Obviously, there’s not a lot of room up front for the Dogs. The addition of Desnoyers, would definitely indicate the potential movement of a forward.
A trade to the Sea Dogs would be much deserved for Desnoyers who lost out on a chance to go all the way with the highly touted 2019-2020 Moncton Wildcats.
It would great to see a player like Desnoyers playing for junior hockey’s holy grail. Another interesting aspect of the trade would the teams involved. The Dogs and Mooseheads are always interesting trade partners given the recent history, well let’s just say that relationship is “Classified”
Rumours this time of year are just that, but “where there’s smoke there’s fire”, the next few hours are going to be very interesting when it comes to the Port City.
