It’s been a very quiet QMJHL Trade Period so far, but that hasn’t ruined the intrigue.
Everyone keep expecting trades to be be announced, but yet again COVID-19 has definitely added to the uncertainty.

With the New Brunswick government moving into Phase 2 of its “Winter Plan” there’s also some uncertainty surrounding speculators in the stands.
Obviously, your guess is as good as mine when it comes to the ongoing restrictions or guidelines surrounding COVID, they seemingly
change every other day, much like the trade rumours around the QMJHL.
There’s tons of buzz surrounding the Acadie-Bathurst Titan and them not being done. Clearly Elliot Desnoyers is in play and everyone is thinking that he might go to Saint John, there’s been some buzz also about Gatineau being a potential landing spot for the Halifax Moosehead captain.
Rumours are swirling around the Sea Dogs potentially moving Lemieux between the pipes.
The four 20 year old situation isn’t ideal, so obviously something has to give.
Lemieux is a solid netminder and would definitely help a team in the second half. The Sea Dogs have gone through a lot of netminders in the last few years. Team defence and a three zone accountability is a must for the Sea Dogs.
With all the uncertainty, GM’s have hit the pause button on deals, but don’t worry, there’s lots of deals that are in the works.
The deadline isn’t going anywhere.
The two ultimate prizes in Major Junior hockey are up for grabs. The deals will be made, we just have to wait a little while longer.
