The Cat Came Back: Jaxon Bellamy Returns to Wildcats

Ritchie Thibeau has reacquired a very familiar face.

The Wildcats acquired Jaxon Bellamy from the Acadie-Bathurst Titan today.

The 20-year-old, former first rounder returns to the organization where it all started five years ago.

The Titan traded for the gritty skilled two zone defencemen from the Sherbrooke Phoenix a year ago.

Bellamy will bring stability and much needed experience to the Wildcats backend.

The Cats D-corps has just been average this year after overachieving a season ago. The addition of Bellamy will balance out their pairings and bring much needed toughness and defensive accountability.

Bellamy, a veteran of 251 QMJHL games will finish his career where it all started.

Jaxon Bellamy is a fantastic leader and character player that will no doubt be pushing to land a pro contract next season.

The Moncton Wildcats just got a lot better with Jaxon Bellamy in their lineup.
