Crooks and Daniel Added To Wildcats Training Camp Roster

One can only imagine what Josh Crooks and Alexis Daniel had to experience over the last few weeks.

From a phone call that no player ever wants to hear saying that they weren’t invited to Camp, to receiving a call from Wildcats Director of Hockey Operations, Ritchie Thibeau last week inviting them to attend.

An opportunity means everything for young aspiring players.

An opportunity can change the course or direction of a player and person’s life.

Crooks and Daniel will try to cease the opportunity they have been given and crack a very wide open Wildcats roster.

Crooks and Daniel will collectively bring speed, grit and skill to the Wildcats Camp.

Crooks played with the Campbelltown Tigers of the Maritime Hockey League this season, but was forced out of the line up for an extended period of time due to injury.

In 35 games with the Tigers, Crooks score 6 goals and added 10 assists.

Crooks is very fast and has great speed to the outside and has the potential to be a very effective power forward at the Q level.

Crooks spent most of his time with the Tigers playing through the middle a season ago.

The year before Crooks played with the famed Halifax Macs program where he amassed 21 points in 35 games.

Crooks would be better suited on the wing at the next level where he could use his speed to drive wide and create time and space for his line mates.

Daniel is coming off a very solid season with the Moncton Midget AAA Flyers.

In 37 games with the Flyers, Daniel scored 23 goals and added 21 assists. He also played 7 games with the Edmundston Blizzard of the MHL scoring 2 goals and 1 assist.

Daniel played in the Flyers top six and was very effective and a versatile presence for the team.

Daniel has explosive speed, a very good shot and is very reliable defensively as well.

There’s no question Josh Crooks and Alexis Daniel will be pushing hard for a place in the Wildcats bottom six.
