“He’s only 20, soon to be 21.”
“He’s got lots of time.”
“The best place for him right now is the AHL so he continues to grow and develop.”

The Carolina Hurricanes organization have a real big problem on their hands and you know something they can try to rationalize it all they want, but simply put they have no room for Bradly Nadeau right now.
The pride of St Francois de Madawaska, New Brunswick clearly deserves a shot at being an NHL regular, nevertheless, the Canes just sent him back to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League.
Nadeau is coming off his first foray of pro hockey which saw him light the lamp on 32 occasions in the AHL. Not too many NHL franchises can boast they have a 20 year old 30 goal man at the AHL level. Not too many NHL teams can say that they then sent that player back to the AHL. Obviously, the Canes are a tremendously deep and talented hockey club and it’s clear they have no room for Nadeau in their top 6 or top 9 right now. There’s no question Nadeau will likely be their first call up, but it shouldn’t take other organizations too long to come calling for his services. Pro scouts know the player and there are a ton of teams that would love to have the likes of Nadeau in their lineup given is full 200 ft style of play.
Nadeau is still very young. Perhaps he does need more time at the AHL level to grow, develop and work on the “details” and clearly the Canes don’t want to rush things, but there comes a time where you have to give a player like him a shot and a real opportunity to prove he belongs.
Perhaps some element of bias has led to the writing of this article. I’ve watched this kid since he was 15. Actually I saw him for the first time at 14 in a jamboree playing along side his brother Josh and both of them were arguably the best players on the ice, and I know damn well they were the smartest by far.
You see every time Bradly and Josh Nadeau have been doubted or questioned about their ability to play at a certain level they don’t gripe, bitch or complain about it, they simply go out and dominate. They let their character, integrity and talent do all of the talking. Throughout their entire path in the game the Nadeau’s have been driven to prove people wrong. Bradly Nadeau will go down to the AHL and dominate and literally force the Hurricanes to make a personnel decision based on his performance and what he will bring to the team on and off the ice. Bias or not, Bradly Nadeau will soon find himself on a NHL roster and you can bet your ass he will find a way to contribute and put points on the board.
There’s no doubt a lot of teams quietly or clandestinely acquiring about Nadeau’s services if I was a part of an NHL organization I know I would, but perhaps I’m bias.
The Carolina Hurricanes might not c have room for Bradly Nadeau, but it’s just a matter of time before they realize they the former 1st rounder in their lineup on a regular basis.
