Sea Dogs Need A New Lease?

The product on the ice is one thing, it’s junior hockey’s dreaded cycle and the Saint John Sea Dogs have experienced all of the highs and lows of that process many times over.

The rebuilding squad led by a great young coaching staff did incredibly well to make the postseason this season which came right down to the wire. Nevertheless, the Sea Dogs are in need of the new lease.

Their 5 year partnership with TD which was signed on August 15, 2019 is set to expire unless a deal has been reached that hasn’t been announced.

Business is business and one can assume by their overall attendance numbers business hasn’t been the greatest lately.

The triumphant 2022 Memorial Cup Championship victory seems so long ago, and the uptick of attention surrounding the team since that memorable victory has rapidly subsided.

Given the current climate and where the organization finds itself, tons of questions still remain unanswered.

Business is business, but it would appear a great deal of business needs to get done because the Sea Dogs need a new lease in Saint John.
